Yes the majority of health insurance will cover a percentage of your session. We would recommend calling your insurance and checking to see how much you can claim back.

  • What should I wear?

Dress comfortably. During your assessment the physiotherapist will be getting you to be doing certain movements so you will want to be comfortable. You can bring your own shorts also if you would prefer to change when arriving at the clinic.

  • How many treatments will I need?

This will all depend on your injury and how long you have been suffering with it. Your Goals are also taken into account in regards to what you want to achieve from Physiotherapy. Your Physiotherapist will be able to give you an idea of the number of visits and a likely time frame after your initial assessment.

  • Do I need to bring anything to my initial consultation?

Yes. We would advise you to bring any relevant medical reports of your current injury such as an MRI scan or XRAYS, no matter how old the reports are. Any referral letters from Gp’s or consultants would also need to be brought along.

  • Will I be sore following my physiotherapy session?

This will all depend on how the assessment and sometimes if manual therapy has taken place. We do advice that following a physiotherapy session you may feel tenderness for 24-48 hours post session. This is very normal and should not be of concern.

You are more than welcome to have someone chaperone you during your treatment. In some cases a chaperone is compulsory, such as for children or someone with additional needs.
